Growing up in Seattle as a first-generation Puerto Rican, home was always defined by what was bubbling on the stove, blending rich island traditions with classic American comfort.

 

I can still close my eyes and smell it: the rich, garlicky aroma of fresh sofrito sizzling in the pan while my grandma cooked, the quiet rustle of plantain leaves as we wrapped pasteles for Christmas, and the warmth of a kitchen filled with laughter.

 

During the holiday season, our house came alive. I remember the look of pure joy on everyone's faces as they danced across the living room with a plate of hot food in hand. That feeling of comfort, love, and connection is what defined my childhood.

 

Those time-honored recipes passed down through generations of my family, alongside beloved American favorites made with wholesome care, are the heart of everything I do. Today, I am bringing those traditional island and American flavors, along with a few healthy twists on old classics, straight to your doorstep.
